"Hello, my name is Namitavu Baheri, a 40-year-old woman who once lived in Congo with my husband until the devastating civil war shattered our lives. His untimely death forced me to flee to Uganda with my three children, seeking refuge at the Chaka Refugee camp. The past six months have been incredibly challenging, especially for my children who are deprived of access to education. Despite these hardships, I hold onto a vision of a brighter future. I have a business idea of selling clothes, and with adequate support, I am confident I can navigate the hurdles and run my business smoothly. All I need is the capital to kick start this venture. The capital of $600 Your support in this endeavor would mean the world to me. Thank you for considering my story."
For those who are in need of the training you can support them monthly or quarterly for the period of 6 month.
The cost to run entire both programs is $2500. This covers 4 teachers' salary, a security guard, materials needed for 6 months for both programs, and an experienced skilled business person who offers guidance and mentorship to the mothers while in the program on how to run their own business. This mentor supports them another 6 month after their graduation to make sure they are making good decisions in their business or new job. This program has changed the lives of many widows and young girls making them independent and able to provide for their children.
